“Fabulous Stay” at Mossgrove Retreat Accommodation

Would just like to share a guest review on Trip Advisor with you.
“From the moment we arrived we felt welcome & relaxed, everything was beautiful. Sue and John, the accommodation, garden, food, coffee. We enjoyed our stay so much on our way up to QLd we booked for our return back home and were just as happy after the welcoming cake, coffee and the most amazing breakfast. We are looking forward to staying again soon, not sure who is more excited the kids or the adults”.... Christy.

Perfect Cool Autumn Weather at Mossgrove Retreat in Dorrigo

This Eastern Spinebill is 'fluffed up' against the cool mornings at Mossgrove Bed & Breakfast in Dorrigo.  Wonderful cool mornings and bright sunny days are typical for Dorrigo in Autumn.

Fresh eggs for guest breakfasts.... but Mossgrove must share with the local wildlife.

We have finally solved the mystery disappearance of eggs from the chicken house.  A 'Land Mullet' (yes, a Land Mullet.. Australia's largest skink) has taken up residence close to a constant supply of eggs.  This Land Mullet is close to ½ meter long, very dark in colour, and surprisingly tame!

Mossgrove B&B has just received a poem written by one our recent guests.  The words were so kind and thoughtful that we felt that we had to share with all.!

While travelling on the way to Dorrigo
And further on a mountain-view plateau,
    Little did we know
The delights awaiting us at Mossgrove B&B.
And to such a high degree!

    On arrival there was Sue,
    Warm-hearted through and through,
Who made us feel at home immediately
    And with great expediency.

    Husband John, a Philomath
    If not a polymath,
Showed us the field wherein he is a pro:
In almost like a Japanese archipelago
Many types of bonsai slowly grow.

    Dear John and Sue;
Many thanks to you are due.
You both are full of conviviality,
    Excel in great hospitality.
    You offered us your friendliness
And helped us better than we can express.

Each morning we with much enjoyment shared
The scrumptious healthy breakfast you prepared.
This B&B’s environment (as probably well you know
We do not need to detail blow by blow)
To observe and view is great.
    This we cannot overrate.

We wish both of you many cheers
And health plus love and laughter
    For many following years!

    From Suxmin and from Kees
Like you just members of the human race.

With all the warm weather, our plants inside and outside are thriving.  This is a pic of our streptocarpus pushing out new flowers daily.  Don't you just love summer.

When it is a cold wet day in Dorrigo there is nothing like a good feed of hay for our two Murray Grey cows, "Miss Jeanette" and "Violet".  They get very spoilt at Mossgrove Bed and Breakfast and are a favourite with our guests.

A stunning Winter sunset over the Dorrigo hills at Mossgrove Bed & Breakfast.

Enjoyed an early morning walk at the World Heritage National Park last Sunday.  It has been some time since we did the Wonga Walk, we had forgotten just how beautiful it is.  All the more reason to let our guests know just how accessible it is, only 3kms from Dorrigo.

Relaxing by the fire at Mossgrove Bed & Breakfast, in your private sitting room, with your favourite book and glass of wine......  BLISS.

A gorgeous burst of colour found tucked away in the garden this morning at Mossgrove Bed and Breakfast.  Sansaqua camelias are at the end of their flowering with the japonicas now starting to come into bloom.  A good mix of japonicas and sasanquas planted around the gardens extend our autumn and winter colour.

Don't delay.  Visit Dorrigo, and stay at Mossgrove B&B, to enjoy the last of the Autumn colour.  Sit around the fireplace and relax after a full day exploring Dorrigo and surrounds.

One night is often not enough time to explore all that Dorrigo has to offer.  National Parks walks, waterfalls, great boutique shopping in the town, the cafe culture and many fantastic lookouts in the surrounding area will keep you entertained for days.
