SMH - The area has plenty of excellent guesthouses, one of which is the classy Moss Grove run by John and Sue Eastment. "We discovered Dorrigo 20 years ago when I was looking for a venue for an office Christmas party," John says.

On many return visits the Eastments were won over by the small-town hospitality. Eventually they bought a Federation home and now keep horses and grow olives and bonsai. "We have mountain and river scenery, and the beach isn't far away," John says.

Daily Telegraph - Perched amid rolling green hills on the eastern escarpment of the Great Dividing Range, Dorrigo is a lush oasis, and its closeness to coastal Coffs Harbour makes it a great summer base.

It is "up the mountain" from the better-known tourist town of Bellingen and prides itself on retaining a country-town feel.

The owners of Moss Grove Bed and Breakfast, John and Sue Eastment, haven't looked back since making Dorrigo their home a few years ago.

Their charming federation home is set on 2.4ha and provides a restful country retreat with more than a touch of luxury.

"My husband and I have just returned from a short break that included Dorrigo on the Waterfall Way just inland from Coffs Harbour.

Driving through the town one would get the impression that there was little accommodation, as apparentlythe council doesn't allow signs to point to the numerous bed and breakfasts in the area.

We stayed at Mossgrove bed and breakfast near north Dorrigo. Breakfast was scrambled eggs with smoked salmon ,pancakes with fresh fruit ,etc. All of a very high standard."

"Hoping to escape the heat of January in western NSW , my husband and I ventured to the northern tablelands for a short break and discovered Dorrigo .  A quaint country town on the escarpment above Coffs Harbour.

Dorrigo is a peaceful place set amid rolling green countryside, with a heritage listed national park on its doorstep.  What made our stay so enjoyable was the accommodation.  MossGrove Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully restored Federation farmhouse surrounded by hectares of lovingly tendered gardens about eight kilometres out of town.  The owners, Sue and John Eastment, have thought of everything to ensure that guests enjoy their stay."
