The gardens at MossGrove offer visitors the chance to experience all that a 'cool climate' garden has to offer. The following images are only a 'snapshot' of the gardens.

As we experience dramatic changes with the seasons, we have added a seasonal slideshow of the gardens in Autumn 2008 .

The gardens have been accepted into Australia's Open Garden Scheme and will be open to the public for the first time on 18-19 October 2008.

A 'framework' of old, established trees and shrubs has provided us with a 'starting point' for our garden renovation, now in its eighth year.

Very much a 'work-in-progress' some 1500 new plantings have been established,  some rare, and some 'old favourites'.

Being blessed with a rich, red volcanic soil (Krasnosem), mild summers, and cool fresh winters, plantings at MossGrove have been thriving.  Sequoia (giant Californian Redwoods), Ginko Biloba (maidenhair tree), oaks, and atlantic cedars, many varieties of Camellias and Magnolias are all doing well.  We even have a productive olive grove which is thriving! .

Winter at MossGrove sees many cool climate bulbs providing some colour to the gardens.

We have established plantings of Spanish Cork Oak (Quercus suber) on our southern boundary, as a wind break,  to protect a future planting of 800 Frantoio olive trees.
